Ah, The Dark Beginnings of Sherlock Holmes, I haven't thought about this series in ages. I loved the feel to these stories, "The Photographer's Chair" in particular.

Someone on my flist was pimping the show just a few months ago, so there are people finding it and loving it still. You're not alone, nonnie.

I saw it, Murder Rooms! I thought it was great! Yes, I know that Dr. Bell was Doyle's inspiration for Sherlock Holmes. Would I read fic of it? I don't know, but I think you should write it and post it anyway. I think it would be fine to post it in lj Sherlock Holmes community's.

I agree. There are a lot of eclectic Sherlockian fans around, and the series would fit right in with our interests.

I agree, most Sherlock Holmes comms would, I am sure, be fine with Murder Rooms stories.

Also, IAN RICHARDSON rocks SO HARD. In this as in everything.

I loved Murder Rooms! I wish they'd made more.

I recorded it off of PBS and watched it over and over, but I haven't seen it since my last VCR died. I should see if I can get it on DVD.

I really used to enjoy this show. And I know what it's like to enjoy something and wish there was a fandom to extend the experience - which is what people don't understand about fandom, fanfic etc.

Plus you've reminded me of the Conan Doyle character in Murdoch Mysteries as well.

I love this series.....

I am a huge sherlock fan and I love the history of Doyle and Bell.... also as Richardson played Sherlock before he had some experience.

I hate RPF and I would love some good stories without slash
