fandom fantasies are the only way I can get to sleep either. I've created massive crossover fantasies with characters that I imagine myself as. Though in the case of Potter, more often than not I'm more likely to imagine myself as female!Harry rather than someone who tags along with the Trio.

I don't think this is a bad thing. The problem with Mary Sues for me is when people put their own personal fantasies online as if everyone wants to read about them. Nothing wrong with creating them for yourself in your own head.
