Actually, it's a common myth that women have larger lips than men. In fact men have larger lips than women.

It's the contrast between lip colour and surrounding skin that's greater in women than men (and women often wear lipstick to exaggerate precisely this contrast). But by size/volume, men's lips are bigger.

(Another myth is that women have longer eyelashes. Actually, men do.)

Wait a tick. I have full lips. Extremely full lips and I've never felt the need to wear lipstick. Explain that.

The average differences between men and women are just that: averages.

On average, men's lips are bigger and fuller. Of course, some women have bigger lips than some men.

Just like, on average, men are taller. That doesn't keep me from being 5'11" and taller than the average man.

...Kinda surprised you needed someone to explain that to you, to be honest.

Hahah yep I'd noticed it on my own long before I looked it up, too.

Kinda funny to think that many women spend so much time and effort on lash curling and mascara when in fact it makes them look, from a biological perspective, more masculine.

Who says men aren't pretty!

I think I may just be crazy jealous of men's long lashes. XD I may or may not have shot sad faces at men with the most prominent pretty lashes throughout my life. (Cousins, my brother, Ben Feldman...)

I've never really thought of it as a masculine/feminine thing though! Long lashes are pretty on anyone, period. :D
