Because he's ~changed~!
I've never liked him, but I especially detest how he was before the last couple of seasons. At least it seems like Bernadette has made him a little more bearable.
Then again, I only like one character on the entire show, so...

Amy, actually. Sheldon reminds me of my brother, who I don't have the best relationship with.

Penny's great, sometimes. Typically I like the girls better than the guys, because they're not as fully as mocky geek stereotypes(to me).

No one in my family can stand Leonard. We all think he's so smug and kind of condescending to the others. And everytime I start to like Raj he always does or says something that either ticks me off or sends me back to neutral.

Amy I like but some of the things she does or says wouldn't be okay coming from a guy and that bothers me.

/love the princess bit though

IDK, I like Amy because she's so realistic, to me. And a lot of what she says that could be problematic (could) come from not being treated like a guy would. So maybe I'm rationalizing that, but I really, really empathize with her, because of similarities I see between her and I, so, idk.

No, I totally see where you're coming from and Amy is one of my favorite female character currently on tv (not that that's saying much).
