lol what. Mako has a personality. He's indecisive, he's serious, he's egotistical, rash, dorky, protective, emotionally conflicted. He stands out on his own.

Asami on the other hand is just the pretty rich girl who races cars. She has no flaws what so ever, and no personality for that matter! Her only purpose in the show was to be Mako's girlfriend and cause drama, that's it. She doesn't do anything else. She's a bland papercut-out that doesn't bring anything to the show.

Okay, we get it butthurt Mako fan. To be honest, Asami, Mako, and Bolin are not well written characters due to time constraints and the awful pacing of the show. Just because Asami is a flat character does not redeem the flatness of Mako's character.

I do find myself liking Asami's character more mainly because at least she's not a jerk

Determined? Nope. She can't even confront her own boyfriend about his behavior. She sneaks behind his back or shoots angry/sad faces at him.

Smart? Nothing she's done has shown she's smart. She knows how to drive a car, and she knows how to wear makeup. She knows how to make people sent to help her carry an insane amount of bags for her. There hasn't been one instance where she does anything that needed real thought to pull off.

Honest? Nope. Again, instead of letting Mako know how she's feeling, she takes out her frustration on an innocent, instead of going to her boyfriend with it. I'd say she's the exact opposite.

Sense of humour? Ah, no. When? You mean when she made a "oh...ok?" face at Bolin when he was cracking jokes? Or, oh, snapping at Bolin when he, again, joked around with her when she came jumping down his throat about her man-drama.

Easygoing? She accuses people of lying and persecuting her father, she jumps down Bolin's throat over something A LITTLE GIRL told her, andddddd she didn't show that much emotion over her father betraying her. I don't see that as easy going, I see it as being bi-polar and inconsistent between episodes.

Determined - Yeah, she's helping benders fight equalists AND HER FATHER and joining in the fights - even though her only weapon is some self defence and one glove. She's determined to follow her beliefs. Mako follows money and vaginas.
Re: Asking Bolin. How was she meant to ask Mako when he's running around going "oh Korra oh Korra". Especially since she was just asking and was surprised it was true.


Smart: You're not paying attention to anything on the show but Mako's hair, are you you misogynist twat. Aside from being able to drive a variety of vehicles, self defence and the intelligence to realise that running around in exhausted circles won't find Korra (and Mako certainly didn't find Korra or rescue her or anything. He just ran around like a headless chook leading others into danger and threatening non-benders). She also worked out how to use the glove pretty fast and is very good at self defence. I'm going to assume she's educated and smart because once it was mentioned to her that Mako likes Korra back, she could notice all the times he was being a "poor confused baby with man feels about 2 girls but no balls to break up and work it out."

Honesty: Uh yes, she stuck to her guns and sided with Team Avatar. NOT because of Mako but because what her father was doing is WRONG.
Re: Taking her anger out on an innocent? She asked Mako FIRST and he said nothing happen. He said it rudely. THEN she asked Bolin a question. Twice. She repeated it out of confusion. THAT'S ALL SHE DID. ARE YOU REALLY BLAMING ASAMI'S CONFUSION OVER MAKO CHEATING ON HER ON HERSELF. REALLY. IT'S ASAMI'S FAULT SHE DIDN'T ASK MAKO IF HE CHEATED ON HER AND COVERED IT UP?!?!? lol what? did you forget everything Asami did in the last episode that LET'S SEE, they wouldn't have been able to do anything without her? provided a car, was the only one able to drive it, including great teamwork with Bolin's earthbending, and she fought better than Mako. Replace "Her" with "His" and "Mako's girlfriend" with "a source of drama for Korra" and you will have a description of Mako. I do think he has a personality but he hasn't had a chance to really SHOW it yet, nor has he done anything really important to the plot, except maybe getting that sponsorship from Hiroshi but that didn't exactly require any effort on his part.

I wish they would have focused more on his brotherhood with Bolin than his romantic potential and making him the "swoon-worthy strong quiet man". He's almost more fanservice than anything! He and Bolin have both kind of bored me from the start, but he's also starting to piss me off. He's being a jerk by playing Asami and Korra.
