So? You shouldn't have to wait two season for characters to make sense. Fact is they made bad choices by putting romance first and building on friendship dynamics later.

They had time for character development imo. But instead of that, they fucked up and went straight to romance rather than doing thing called building up their friendship and camaraderie first.
