How is Mako a self absorbed dick? I'm not even a major fan of him. I think the "cool" act he does is actually few and far between, if anything he's pretty funny and forthcoming. I'm not sure what he did that is so allegedly jerky besides maybe the first episode he's in. And we've seen him freak out multiple times when people he cares about are in danger, and jump headfirst into that danger to save them (Bolin, Korra). I actually finally started actively liking him in episode 9, and even was shipping Mako/Korra by the end of it.

You mean, other than cheating on his girlfriend, not telling her he cheated, telling his brother Korra was not dating material when he realized he was interested in her, telling Korra her worries about Sato were just her being jealous and threatening to end their friendship over it, etc?

LOL. I love how you people throw 'cheating' around as if he actually cheated. He, for a split second, kissed a girl back who KISSED HIM FIRST. He didn;t cheat, he didn't sleep with Korra. Or get hot and heavy with Korra. You might as well say Asami is a 'horrible daughter' for shocking her father. Or Bolin is "a perverted monster" for having his fly down in front of women.

The "kissed him first" doesn't excuse it. He kissed back. You don't need to sleep with somebody to be a cheater. And he never told Asami. FFS Bolin was the one that told her.

What does Asami shocking her father to fucking save her friends has anything to do with Mako being a prick? Nothing whatsoever. And your Bolin comparison is so stupid is not even funny.

Reaching? You mean like blaming Asami finding out from Bolin all on Mako? It wasn't as if she asked Mako about his behavior. She went behind his back and FORCED his younger brother to do it. It was cowardly and selfish on her part. Bolin has nothing to do with her relationship drama, and she shouldn't have forced him to get involved because she couldn't do the mature thing and ask her own boyfriend about it.

Yes, you are reaching. You are so blinded by your Asami hate you are trying to excuse Mako's behaviour by trying to blame his issues on other characters. And you bet I'm going to blame Mako. He should have told her the moment it happened. She didn't fucking force Bolin to tell her, she just asked a question, not held him at gunpoint.

Actually, it is reaching, particularly when you start throwing that she 'should have asked Mako'. Iirc, by that point in the episode, he'd already gone to actling like she didn't exist while he freaked, and started acting just like the Equalists accused benders of acting [Or do you not count threatening to burn someone that way?] And that's ignoring the fact that, realistically, if she'd asked him he probably would have lied, if he'd answered at all. Also, 'blaming Mako for not telling her' - how is that 'wrong'? *He* is her boyfriend, *he* is the one whose cheating [AKA: Betraying your SO's trust, and disrespecting the boundaries of your relationship], so *yes* he should have told her about it after it happened. As it stands, she didn't even realize that there might be an issue until after she found out that Korra likes Mako, and his behavior when Korra was kidnapped. So how would she have even known to ask until that point [which, honestly, would have been a very very bad time to have asked that regardless of anything else]?

As far as Bolin goes, he wasn't forced. He could have said 'No, I don't want to get involved'. Was he uncomfortable with it? Yes, of course. Most people would be - but he answered, and he did so without even really making her work for the answer.

In some relationships, kissing (on the lips) is considered cheating. Its not as HUGE as like, someone having slept with someone else, but still. It depends on the couple.
