Oh man I hear you about Sazh. Even the fanart is scarce. :( it gets comical when the artists seem to always draw him facing away or just his afro in the corner to avoid drawing his face, cause I guess his features don't translate well to anime.

:/ Not so long ago one of my DW friends linked a pic labelled 'the whole group' that didn't include Sazh. I don't follow fanart much; in shipfic, there is at least a reason why the thirtysomething guy is not getting much play with the teenagers as they do with each other, but if he's not appearing in fanart either...

FWIW, here's the best FFXIII fic I've read so far, which is gen about Sazh, Lightning, mental health and surviving.
