Yes, it does. Of course it does. But social justice control in fandom is blown out of proportion by now. People have every right to care about any character who is black, or overweight, or, IDK, female. It doesn't necessarily make them racists, or misogynists, or whatever.

Did your tumblr friends explicitly state that their dislike of Fury is based on the colour of his skin? Or did they adore comic-verse (ie white) version of the character? If that's the case, okay, right, I get your anger and... wow, those people are assholes.
If they didn't, please please stop overreacting.
