Oh sweetie, I don't care if it's movie verse. At one point or another, even if the stories have nothing to do with the rest of marvel universe (like animated TV series) SHIELD does something shitty.

And the movie verse is loosely based on Ultimates, which is the epitome of what you say it's not based on, so...yeah.

Honestly, I don't get how people are able to separate the same character from the rest of their canon. It doesn't matter that it's sort of alternative reality, it's still the same character (which is usually the point). And the movie verse Fury is an asshole. SHIELD is the same (like in Thor, taking away Jane Foster's stuff). The only person we don't know if she'll be anything like she's in comics (where she is capable and cool, but not a person I like) is Maria Hill.
