I realized, suddenly--imageshack. Those images don't last very long before they're removed, with the bandwidth and whatnot, huh?

I already submitted a link for next week...what should I do? Can I actually do anything (I doubt it)? Should I just resubmit it the week after that, using a better hosting site?

Sorry if this is a stupid question.

So, um, why are responses to past secrets being banned now? There's been loads of them before, is it a new thing?

Bunch of people were complaining before about like, "why are these posted, they're just like 'I agree' or things the OP could've posted as a comment to the original" and that was a post where there was actually more'n one so I was trying it out to see if anyone complained!

Is this a complaint? Uhhhh just for the record dnfkjfhhf

^^; Er, yeah, sort of - I mean, I can see taking off ones that were just "I agree" but I thought ones that had stories relating to the original secret were pretty interesting... so... It is a sorta-complaint? But I usually like reading the responses.

Holy heck! I just read the FAQs, and my secret won't get posted til next week!!! *facepalm* I got all excited (and by excited I mean nervous) and it's not gonna be up til next week...*feels like an idiot for not knowing that* what if I forget about it or something!? (even though I probably won't...) but still. It's ok. I guess. D:. You guys still rock for having a comm like this... I just wish I could get my secret over with. ^^;. And I kinda feel like a whiner for doing the secret to begin with... but it's true. So... yeah. Sorry for taking up you all's time^^;.

Do you delete secrets about loli or shota? I made one; the art isn't objectionable, text just states that I want fic of a particular incest pairing and the art has one of the characters as a child.

When we're submitting secrets on the submissions page, what exactly do you want? Do you want the html for the image or do you want the image itself. And if you want the html, how do I give it to you without it turning into the image?

Any chance of getting more secrets on a secret post? I mean, it's tuesday and we can't post any more until Saturday. What about those BURNING NEEEEEEEEDS to spill our wanky secrets to the world? ;-;

Yeah, we've been thinking about this too. I think starting next week, we'll bump the total up to 700 or something!

We'll be upping the number in a bit, since at the moment, we're keeping the limit capped due to time restraints. Your cries for more secrets have been heard! ;~;

I'm fine with 700 secrets/week in principle, but man, think of the load times. Fifty secrets a day takes forever to load as it is, and I've got a great connection. Would it be possible to impose a file size limit, or decrease the image size limit, or something?

Good idea, didn't think about load times.

Maybe like 600x600? It's usually the huge 800px images that slow me up the most...

I think there should be a photobucket account that can be accessible for any one on fandom!secrets that anyone can use to post secrets on, instead of using 289529 fake accounts.

But I worry about trolls and whoever going into it...

Yeah, that would be the problem: how to make sure everyone knows the username/password but also make sure trolls can't just go in and delete/remove/replace secrets? dfhfkjf

I was wondering if you could post the secret spec requirements (n pixels x n pixels, blahblah megs etc.) on the info page? I know you just changed them but can't remember what the new ones are.

It occurred to me today that a potential solution to the "omfg 100 secrets per post" thing would be just to make two back-to-back posts each day with fifty secrets each. Don't know if this had also occurred to you guys and you'd nixed the idea, or what - or if it'd be a pain in the ass to draw up two posts (although to me, it seems like two 50-secret posts wouldn't take any more effort than one 100-secret post, but whatever). I just felt like it was an option to consider. ♥

That is a good idea, though so far we don't have to worry too much about it. But should the secret count really start hitting OVER 9000, uh, I think that's a good option to consider. :3 Thank you for the suggestion.
