Okay, fuck you. If your ancestors came from a certain country, you can absolutely identify as of that heritage. This is not identifying with an anime character. This is celebrating a part of your heritage. For some countries, ethnicity is not connected to the country. Americans especially have this issue. Since many immigrants immigrated without leaving behind their culture, they continue to identify with their heritage.
