I'm kind of the same but if they have MY name/names of people I know. Friends' names can be okay if they're common enough names (I mean I know like 15 people named Dan so another fictional one is no problem) but if they're an uncommon name that you only associate with that one person, or my own name aaaaa it's just weird

There's nothing wrong if you don't enjoy porn and especially nothing wrong if you want your comm to remain PG-13. Honestly, while I do enjoy a good smutty fic, there are a lot of times I prefer to just read something that doesn't get smutty.

Is there actual books like that? I've seen fanfiction with the obvious Mary Sue named after the author but I'd be curious to find out what published books have that trait. Sounds incredibly desperate to me.

Yeah, I have that problem too. I remember reading Son of the Mob in junior high, and doing a double take when I realized the main character's love interest had my name. It was very, very weird reading the rest of the book, because my name's not all that common.

I'm pretty sure Dante Basco has been an adult for a while now. It's kind of silly for this to bother someone. Even if Dante has a teenager voice (I don't think he does, but that's just me) it's still a good voice? Why do the people casting these actors have to fit people's expectation of what an "adult" voice should sound like? Lots of adults have higher voices, or even super low voices??? I mean gosh there's just so much variety. How is this a problem?

You're pretty much in for a rough time as an author in any fandom if you don't write porn or ship any pairings. Gen stories are widely unloved in fandom. :(

I don't get the connection between "modern day AUs" and "smoking"? Smoking has been around for age, and people sometimes put smoking in their fantasy worlds...
