Argh this movie. This movie! It is super adorable and sweet and has really awesome scenes, but I just cannot stand the adultery. I just think there was no real reason to go through with the wedding and do the whole adultery thing. The pure joy of their relationship is totally ruined by the heartbreak of whatshisface.

It would probably have been one of my very favorite movies if it didn't have that whole bit, which is just frustrating.

... the wedding was at the beginning of the movie, though. She was (or thought she was) in love with the guy, so why should she not have 'gone through' with it? It was only afterward she fell in love with the other woman.

It's not so much the character motivations, it's that I don't think it needed to be written that way. It could have been a really cute romance/self discovery movie with all the cute romance and all but without the cheating. It just irks me that it was written that way.

I know it didn't have to be written like that, but I found that realistic\, and I enjoyed that. She loved Heck. She didn't know she could love Luce at the beginning.

There are plenty of cute rom-coms out there. I enjoyed one that had a little realism/depth to it.

But there was no adultery. The woman never cheated, she just had feelings for the other woman, and she was honest with her husband about it. She never had sex outside of her marriage.
