That'd be helpful after the OP has tried to distance themselves away from stuff about the actor. It's not like they're into full on stalker mode following them around town or having it affect their current relationships very negatively. If they really can't pry themselves away then perhaps shelling out the money for a therapist would be a good idea, but I guarantee you the first thing they'll get OP to do is to create some distance.

This. Therapists are expensive. But I agree that if OP is really struggling to create that distance on their own, seeking therapy is a good option.
