I've seen a bunch of iterations of this the past week or so, and while I agree that geek culture isn't necessarily better, I don't really have a problem with bikini Leia. I think that that scene, while putting her in that metal bikini, did a good job of making Jabba seem utterly repulsive and made her situation seem awful, and I love the imagery of Leia killing Jabba with the chains he used to capture her with. I do have an issue with fans sexualizing it because they seem to be missing the point. So it's more an issue with fan culture than the film it came from?

Also, is there a reason that particular picture of Natasha/Black Widow is there? I mean, you see some cleavage but it's not like she's THAT exposed.

Exactly this. Yes, it's attractive, when taken out of context. But the context just makes her more kickass and awesome.
