That's called "having to find a job".
There may be less social stigma against tattoos nowadays, but it depends where you live. Considering the job market, stuff like tattoos can be perceived as cool, signs of future problems with authority, or irrelevent, depending on the person in front of you.

People shouldn't judge you on your tattoos, piercing etc, but it's ridiculous to expect that nobody ever will, unless you want to live secluded.
