Maybe the member was posting from the mod's computer. Is it possible they're related or IRL friends?

I was thinking they could be related, but I've never heard either mention they're related or friends. It is possible they're friends.

Another possibility is public access. If they live in the same general area, they could potentially have logged on at the local library or something without even being aware of each other's existence. Something like that is especially likely if one or both of them has posts from multiple different IPs.
