To be fair, he did eat a whole box of that shit in one sitting. :| He can't hate them, at least. :|

He's a big eater! But of course he doesn't hate them. It just hits a peeve of mine that I've seen in other fandoms too where a character is seen eating something once and then it's the only thing anyone ever writes about them eating. In this case, I've just seen one too many fic where Thor is defined solely by love of Pop-Tarts.

LOL I think I've become desensitized, thanks to Tumblr. XD Though I would like to see more of him eating something different en masse...perhaps a family meal of sushi? Or a turducken by himself? Not sure I want to go to Epic Meal Time levels, though...that show kind of makes me want to ralph sometimes. ^^;

Epic Meal Time totally grosses me out, but I feel like Thor and Volstagg's Asgardian Epic Meal Time would be AMAZING. Someone needs to make that be a thing.

I think the only show in recent memory that actually plays with something like that, in canon and in fanon, is Code Geass and those damn pizzas. But yes, I get that annoyance with fandom latching onto something like that.

Like Dizzy Doo and her muffins (MLP).

I like that bit of fanon every now and then, but it's permeated EVERYWHERE in pony fandom that it got old, REAL fast.

I don't think that's a very good indicator that they're one of Thor's favoritest favorite things, because I get the impression that the list of things he hates enough not to eat would probably be fairly short.
