Tread carefully with this, though. There are some awfully angsty fics in which characters seem to get their good spirits sucked out of them and they either become empty hulls or totally!serious OOC idiots. For example, Tony isn't always making witty remarks or snappy comments, but if that aspect of him gets entirely cut out, there's not much of him left, since that is basically his way of dealing with the shit life flings in his direction. That and fixing his suit, of course :P
