It doesn't. =( I pine for an actual lesbian in GoT. You'd think with a show that panders so much to the male gaze, they'd make one of the women gay instead of expanding on Renley/Loras.

LOL, since when did the male gaze care about trufax actual lesbians? The male gaze only wants two women because a male participant is a distraction, but ultimately, the women have to be sexually accessible and available to the male gaze. The idea of a woman who doesn't want the gazer's cock, any cock, is unpalatable and unsexy. In that way, the male gaze is very different from the slash-friendly female gaze, which is nowhere near as threatened by the idea of a man who doesn't want the gazer's cunt.

No, this was when the handmaiden meant to teach Dany about sex taught her that there were other sexual positions, ones that gave her power. I think her wording was something like "Dothraki mount their slaves like dogs. Are you a slave, Khaleesi?"

Very tempting - I love Dany's character and her actress so much. But I can't put up with the overall universe just for snippets of her. Maybe if the whole story was about her journey from desperate child bride to dragon queen of the known world instead of all those other people.

Arys who? I don't mean to be an asshole, I seriously can't figure out who you are talking about. There is an Arys, but he isn't a significant character in the first book at all..

They look adultish because characters were aged up in the show (all kids and many of the adults).

No - they aged up the actors because the idea of seeing Jason Momoa forcing himself on an actual 13 year old girl... Well, it wouldn't go over well. (IIRC, GRRM wanted the actress to be younger, but everyone complained.)
