Well I still see people cosplaying as her troll version even after the update, so they're not taking it too hard. Since Calliope canonly dresses up as a troll it gives people leeway for that.

I really don't think they care? Even the person who draws her in-universe fanart assumed she was a troll and drew pictures of her that way. All the reactions I saw were like "Oh wow...we were wrong! Look how cute she is! Guess I have to go buy some green paint now."

I don't think it's that bitchy, I just think it's a pretty silly thing to be gloating about. When you make fan theories about an in-progress story, you go into it understanding that they'll probably be proven wrong at some point. And it's not a big deal.
