Yes, because he believes himself to be the center to the universe and the ultimate solution to any problem. First he murders people in his school because he thinks this world is corrupt and everyone who lives in it suffers, then he rapes a woman to give the sad ghost a baby. Non of it requires a heart, this is sociopath's way of self validation.
