Judging by this secret alone, your writing is better than 70% of people on ff.net anyways. And even all THOSE people get good reviews telling them they "shud keep riting!". Honestly, I think you're improving just by writing fics for yourself. The critique should matter to you, but you won't get anything helpful (realistically).

But if you actually want to get anywhere as a writer, you NEED to get the confidence to post your stuff, and accept criticism. If you can't post fic anonymosuly only, there's no way in hell you'll be able to publish a book.
