Watch Haywire. The female protagonist spends most of the movie taking out the bad guys with her fists.

And not in a lame, stunt-double-pasted-on-yay, extras visibly throwing themselves across the room for her because the actress isn't strong enough to do it herself way. That's Gina motherfucking Carano of MMA fame and every move in the movie is legit close combat fighting that's alllllll her.

Cannot recommend enough.

This movie has a queue of about a thousand people for just fifty copies at my local library and I'm like "get more copies what is wrong with you I want to seeeee".
