In fairness, I live alone, so there's no one to be upset/offended/whatever if I leave "feminine" products out in the open, and I'm the only one who uses my bathroom garbage can. I can see, if you live with other people, there might be issues with just putting the wrapper out where you can use it again as opposed to throwing it in the trash or whatever.

That's true, but the rest of the towels have to live *somewhere*, in your medicine cabinet or handbag or whatever, so the wrapper can just go back with the rest of the pack until its needed.
