Different fandom, actually. (Harry Potter fandom, does your fans' depravity know no bounds?!)

I actually read a few Hojo forces Aerith and Nanaki to have sex fics (I was surprised to find more than one with that scenario, but I really shouldn't have been surprised, because... internet), but none of them had barbed penises.

I have. It was FFVII fic with Yuffie/Red XIII and the author definitely mentioned the spines and how much pain Yuffie was in (which was a change from the rest of the fics treating Red XIII as a canine rather than a feline).

If I remember correctly, one of the in-game books in the computer game "Daggerfall" mentions it in relation to Khajiit (cat-people) men.

The more explicit details are censored 'by order of the temple' in copies of the book found in Morrowind and Oblivion.
