Re: lookin' for a new time waster
(Anonymous) 2012-07-01 01:23 am (UTC)(link)You could also get into some new hobby and search sites and forums for those. I've been eyeing rom-hacking, programming and such (although I haven't been in the necessary sharp state of mind to learn either lately), so checking out indie videogames and things like Pokémon RomHacks has been a nice time waster! (Check out Pokecommunity dot com for the pokemon romhacks)
You could also watch and read Let's Plays (lparchive.org), or you could take up drawing or painting (conceptart.org has excellent feedback forums for that).
You could also read through Artists Beware http://artists-beware.livejournal.com/
If nothing else, they have interesting info on copyright laws and such. Also, sometimes drama erupts (because some artists or commissioners absolutely refuse to take responsibility and play the victim), so there's that too.
You could also start catching up on webcomics. There was a rec list in the general comments a few days ago.
