(Anonymous) 2012-07-01 02:19 am (UTC)(link)the whole "things are bad in brown people countries so let's not complain about anything ever!" is both a ridiculous way to invalidate a problem someone has and hella insulting to people from countries we think of as "less fortunate". It's that mindset that makes people think that Africa is a country and all people do there is sit around and be noble and starving.
And, whatever, I can understand that "stupid" as a slur is a bit of a stretch, but if people are putting trigger warnings on it, that really doesn't affect your life at all, so relax.
