What I don't understand is, why should everybody be either conservative or liberal? Okay, I am apolitical (I think all parties - in every country, not just in the US - are equally shitty, corrupt, and don't give a flying fuck about their supposed ideologies, they only care about getting power and that's all) so maybe that makes me biased against politics in general, but instead of voicing their individual opinions, why do people stick to one ideology and follow every single doctrine of said ideology? If they have mostly liberal views, to be considered liberal by others, they have to accept all the ideologies of other liberals, because if they don't, they'd be called bigots. Same with conservatives. From the POV of an ultra-liberal SJW, I'm a fucking bigot who should never have been born, and from the POV of some my super conservative countrymen, I'm a liberal cunt who should be terminated because I infest the traditional values of my country. So why should I consider myself either liberal or conservative when both sides hate me and I also equally hate them as well?

This is a refreshing viewpoint, really. I've been defining myself as independent, though your description of apolitical really fits me exactly and I may have to consider that word for future usage!

But anyway, I've never understood just solidly grouping yourself in with liberal or conservative. I understand saying you lean toward democrat or republican, but when people get so focused on their side as a whole rather than individual issues - like a club they belong to, like the other side is wrongwrongwrong, etc. I just wanna facepalm a little.
