I'm sort of the opposite. I always favor female characters (which doesn't mean I all of them, my most hated character is a girl), but it's a bit harder for me to like men (unless they're the dorky type, I love dorks).
I really don't like it when I see other women hating on female characters just because, and it's good that you're past that attitude.

Chikane from Kannazuki no Miko. I think she's the skeeviest example of the Rape is Love trope.

Oh man I wish I could forget it, but I hated it so much, not even the yuri could get me to like it.

I think I only forgot about it because I must have had some kind of rage blackout, but now I'm ticked off again. IT COULD HAVE BEEN SO GOOD. I'm all over the idea of priestesses who dig each other that have to save everyone from an ancient evil that wants to fuck shit up. But... :(

Haha, same here! I have a policy where I won't get really into a movie or series or whatever unless it has at least one lady I'm interested in. I can like dudes a lot too, but it's rarer for me to be as attached to them as I am to the women.
