But he was this massive heartthrob back in the day, wasn't he? On that show where he played Illya Kuryakin. The Man From U.N.C.L.E! That was it.

OP, David McCallum was and is a very attractive man. He was the pretty boy back in the 60s, and now he's a very dapper and lovely older man. So go you! Don't let anyone make you feel embarrassed :)

Honestly, DMc's basically had a longer constantly-working career than almost anybody else who's still in the business (Betty White ranks up there with him.) And he's been hot all the way through it, despite some questionable haircuts in the 70s and 80s.

I've had a crush on Illya Kuryakin David McCallum since the '60's. I actually started watching NCIS because I saw Mr. McC's face in the opening credits, and screamed, "It's Illya! What is this? Let's watch!"

Every time he's shown in some context showing the guys how to treat a woman like a lady with a woman romantically on the show I am 100% cheering for him.

(And while I didn't ship he/Kate in seasons one/two, I'm *dying* to come across a kickass Rizzoli and Isles/NCIS crossover fic with Ducky/Maura Isles someday ♥)

I have crushes on Ducky, McGee, Palmer, and Gibbs. Tony just doesn't do it for me. I think Ducky is really awesome as a character, and liking someone that much older in a romantic fashion isn't wrong to me.
