Well, she IS the best character.

I LOVE YUNA and she's the main reason I'm watching the show too, yeah. I ship her with Aria pretty hard.

I'm was pleasantly surpised that they gave Aria a proper sisterly relationship with Yuna instead of keeping her as a MacGuffin girl that doesn't look at anyone other than the protagonist. Omega may not be perfect, but I think that the way in which it is dealing with its females characters is pretty great, specially considering the franchise.

I'd say that, if there's anything Omega is doing better than the original, it's the treatment of female characters. This last ep in particular was pretty good in that regard.

Omega isn't a bad show, is pretty decent for a kids show. Most of the hate comes from fans of the original Saint Seiya and their stupid complaints. BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAW WHY IS OMEGA NOT LIKE THE ORIGINAL.

SSO isn't bad...It just isn't good. It wants to be good, you can tell. The pacing is off. Maybe they are just trying to do too much. I get the feeling a manga might play out better.

I want to like Yuna. I really do. But I never forgave the mask thing. She just gets to take it off, no questions asked? There is no fall out from this whatsoever? Why are other girls just taking off their masks then?

I actually think that the fast pacing is one of Omega's best traits; I don't really like episode-long fights. Its main problem, as far as I'm concerned, is world building. When does it take place? Episodes 11-13 seemed were set in a technology-free 1900-ish world yet in episode 14 they seemed to move forward to a more modern location that featured cars and electricity. I like the characters enough to enjoy the show but I still think its lack of setting defintion is faulty storytelling. Not to mention that the geography is all over the place. (Thinking about it, I had the same problem with Soul Eater's poorly defined setting...)

Regarding the mask... why would anyone in the show care about enforcing the Law of the Mask? After insane Saga died, the "totalitarian" part of the Sanctuary went under with him. If Shaina or Marin had taken off their masks during Poseidon or Hades I doubt anyone would have cared. Besides, the one that insisted that she should ignore the rules that don't fit her was Geki, who seemed to be a well-respected teacher at the Palaestra. As for other girls don't taking off their masks... they probably take the tradition more seriously or maybe they fear being bullied about it. Why didn't Yuna get bullied? Well, she was clearly the strongest female Saint at the Palaestra and one of the strongest Saints overall, on par with Ryuho who was considered number 2. I doubt her fellow students would have messed with her. Honestly, I don't think the Mask thing was particularly important to the SS mythos and I think its for the best that they dealt with it swiftly in Omega.

Fixed for syntaxis.
