I don't really play Final Fantasy, but I do like the soundtracks and XIII is one of my favorites (especially Blinded by Light, Atonement, and Dust to Dust)! I didn't know people bashed it...

People hate the OST? The actual game recieves lots of mixed opinions but the praise for the music is almost universal.

XIII's soundtrack is actually one of my favorite FF OSTs.

XIII-2's was pretty bad, in my opinion, though.

huh, I had the opposite opinion. I thought some of the Pulse tracks on FFXIII were good but most of it was 'meh' to me, but I loved most of the FFXIII-2 OST. Which would be a reversal of my opinion of the games; I adore FFXIII and found FFXIII-2 a huge let-down.

Holly crap, I can't believe anyone can actually hate the FFXIII soundtrack. It's so good! As a wannabe sound designer/game composer, I can only hope that the stuff I come up with is half as good as it's. @_@ I mean, it's ridiculous how many times I have listened to Blinded By Light, goodness. Besides, I honestly don't really care for Uematsu's music style anyways... >.>

What if I bash it because I particularly don't like Masashi Hamauzu? Nobuo isn't even my favourite of the various FF composers, but Hamauzu is pretty definitely my least favourite.

(OP) This, I'm fine with. That's your opinion, and you're entitled to it. I'm just bored to tears/driven to homicidal rage by the amount of "WWWAAAAAAHHHH ON TOP OF EVERYTHING ELSE *THEY CHANGED THE COMPOSER, IF IT'S NOT UEMATSU IT'S BALLS" which is just... aaaaargh, fail all around.

I know that Hamauzu is very divisive. Personally I find his stuff as a solid kick in my pleasure center. Disliking him on his own merits is fine -- disliking him because he's not someone else is not.
