Oh man, have I been this way with other, older fandoms recently. (Hi there, Super Mario Bros.)

They're usually not as good as you remember them being, but it's nice to have those feelings of nostalgia... some of the time, hehe.

Heh, I know what you mean. I've spent sooo much time looking for old fic just because I was feeling nostalgic. I know it wasn't really that good, but it was what I could find at the time and I enjoyed it.

I actually recently tracked down a person who wrote these hilarious MSTs (of her own old badfic and of people's fics who requested to be MST'd, so the MSTs were fun and not mean spirited) on an old geocities site and asked if she had a new site where she posted those MSTs. I told her how much I loved them and that I liked to reread them occasionally. She ending up reposting her stuff just for me. It was great.

I don't know what fics those are, but maybe ask around some Star Trek comms or GIS the author and see if you can contact him or her. Hey, you never know.

I've been using the wayback machine to find an old Death Gate slash story, and after spending an ungodly amount of time tracking the old web address- it keeps not working. I am forever sad. :(

Lots of those writers are still around though. I wouldn't mind asking around for you if I could figure out who the writer is and what the story is. :)
