Lol, I'm another one.
It's too bad there isn't a Russian version of F!S. Sometimes I want to post a secret about Russian media or fandom, but then I think about how pretty much nobody would get it.

Maybe we should start a Russian F!S community? :D
Although that would require having lots of Russians who participate in fandom on DW. And I'm not sure there are enough fandom people to warrant a separate community.

And I'd like to ask you lovely people for help ~ See, I actually moved away from Russia when I was pretty young, so my Russian isn't that great anymore. And I'd like to read fanfic in Russian, you know, to improve it. Only I'm left flailing on how to start in Russian fandom.

So, what I'm asking is - any recs?

Maybe some really awesome Russian show with an awesome fandom? Or epic fics? Or a good way to find epic fics?...Anything? XD

I`m afraid, there`s no such thing as an awesome Russian show. At least, no modern one:) But if you like Supernatural, try to read anything written by moody flooder. She`s absolutely amazing author. I can also recommend triskelos, Тэнки, Naya K and Ferry (Пять вечеров, spn fandom; Апрель, Harry Potter). You can find their works here:

Oh my god, anon, thank you so much. <3 This is exactly what I was hoping for! You even got the fandom perfect; Supernatural is my newest craze and I've been consuming fics for it like air lately.

I can't wait to start reading these. Have all my Internet gratitude forever. :)

(And, I'll admit it - the comment about there being no awesome Russian show made me laugh a bit. Ahh, English speaking world, how you dominate the media.)

I`m glad to be helpful. :)
I was a huge fan of spn myself few years ego, but then lost intrest. So unfortunately I can`t recomend anything new. But if you`re neophyte I think good old fics would be ok too.
Apart of Crossroad Blues site, there`s also Bedtime stories: http://bedtime-stories.fantasy-fan.info/ and a couple of great communities on diary.ru (registration is very easy and you can e-mail me if you have any question: pivoine2005@mail.ru).
Check out this kink fest: http://www.diary.ru/~superkink/ It`s the oldest kink fest in russian spn-fandom.:)But try to read old fics first. Then community had been just organized it was small but talanted, later the quantity of fics rose, but quality...not so much:)

About Russian television: it`s a sad thing to admit, but our tv sucks. Big time. It has nothing to do with english speaking media, although I love them, especially English:) If they made something desent to watch, I would, but...oops:(
If You can find some exeptions, of course, for example, "Идиот" wasn`t that bad if you`re not as afraid of Dostoevsky as I am. But if you really want to watch something russian you can`t do much better when our old shows. Like "Приключения Шерлока Чолмса и Доктора Ватсона", for instance, or "Гардемарины, вперед". And Sherlock has a great fandom too:)

There was a Russian version of F!S, on diary.ru, but it wasn't nearly as active and I can't even find it anymore, so it's probably dead.

Nah, it was stupid. It's impossibe to make comments invisible on Diary, so all you had to do was go to the secret submission post and see them all. No fun at all.
