He was sympathetic until that last bit where he pulled "I don't curr bout human affairs-- LOL NOPE GONNA DECIDE WHAT'S BEST FOR HUMANITY BECAUSE I CAN, EVEN THOUGH IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH ME ANYMORE".

I was just thinking of Watchmen (and Jon) yesterday! His story was one of my favorites and I agree that he was quite sympathetic through most of the story. Also, I just love how the scene on Mars is written, when he's thinking back to Janey and his transformation.

is this an unpopular opinion? He's not even in my list of top three and I have as well. (then again I love everything about the story, so...)

I mean, he always knew that Janey would eventually get cancer and blame him and he couldn't DO anything about it.

I absolutely love Jon. The issue focused on him is my favourite part of Watchmen.

I always thought movie!Jon's voice wasn't low enough though. Which is odd since usually I don't have a clear picture in my head of such things.

Huh, interesting! I was worried that they'd go way too low and booming and echoy for the movie, but then I saw it and he sounded exactly the way he did in my head.

I guess everyone has a different take on this stuff.

I understand/identify with him way too much, I think. Metaphorically speaking, at least.

I do, too. At least because his perspective and motivations were easiest for me to understand.

And even apart from that, he's one of my very favorite fictional characters ever, and I think I just unintentionally explained my username to you people. :P
