Well, see, that would actually be an interesting change to their dynamic, and at this point, this show looks more and more like it's going to be like when they tried to do an American version of Skins, or the one of Being Human.

Which hopefully means it will be cancelled in the first season.

It's not a remake, though. It's a different take on the same idea. It really has very little in common with Sherlock beyond the modern setting.
