Um, there were POC in Scotland back then though. Not surprised that history often get whitewashed anyway.

But the bulk of the complaints were that after Tiana, Disney churned out three (now with Frozen coming out next year) White princesses in a row while there isn't still a brown Latina Disney princess for example or that Tiana's turn was problematic because she spent 70% of the movie as a frog. No one's expecting them to make every other Princess a POC but damn, three in a row?

'back then' <---back when? Given that it's a fairy story I don't think chronology matters that much. My worry would be more that, while fun caricature fairy story Scottish people can be great, fun caricature fairy story North Africans or Arabs or Roms might run into the failwall very fast, a la Aladdin. I guess it depends on whether you think it's worth the risk of epic failure. In most movies I'd say it absolutely is, but Brave has a very silly attitude to culture so IDK. :/
