Yea, I find that mentioning out celebrities can be very useful in these situations. Which sucks because all gay and lesbian people should be respected and treated the same! Yet...if it can get someone over their hate, that's a good thing.

Awww, that's marvellous, anon! Greater queer visibility has a knock-on effect.

But I wish I could cure my grandmother's homophobia :( She loves me and still reads toxic homophobic screeds. Can't wait to not talk about the upcoming baby me & my partner are having. She even likes Stephen Fry and it doesn't make a difference to her God-given beliefs.
