When did F!S get so nice? Seriously, when I started coming, I was terrified of it because everyone seemed so mean. WHAT HAPPENED.

I suspect it had something to do with cuteanimalpics. I started reading FS around the time she was making posts. It's hard to go batshit on someone you bonded with over fluffy kitten gifs.

LOL I just realized I had nearly this exact conversation yesterday; an anon asked why people at F!S seemed less wanky than they remembered, and I replied with the cuteanimalpics theory.

I think it was a combo of relatively fewer secrets (remember the days of 40 plus?) and beautifulness. Without so many secrers, we invaded general thread for actual general chat time. Aka chill time.

And then animal pics.

and then the dw move probably filtered out a small number of vocal assholes that thought it too much effort.

Ftr, I never thought we were terrible. But I kinda thrive on anons and nonanons to entertaining me. My judgement of everyone being awesome is probably skewed.

I like it now, and I liked it before, it just seems like we get less wank...but the same number of comments. But IA. I think everyone's pretty awesome and hilarious too.
