I'm not surprised. I Though DO:A origins was actually really good at making the characters feel "real" in their interactions.

I had something that I can only describe as a "giddy, teenage crush" on Zevran, in a way that it wasn't even funny (especially because I have a bf).


It's also so damn random in picking who you can/can't Romance sometimes. I really would have liked a Romance option for Varric in DA2.

Oh man, I love Sten too. Wouldn't say I'm in love with him, but his progression in the game is so great to be a part of, and his relationship with the Warden (if you do the work) is incredibly sweet.

But Dragon Age did a good job on the companions on a whole imo, so there weren't any (or many, anyway) that I didn't end up caring about.

And then in DA2, Fenris is my husbando, but only when I'm projecting my inner dude, because I only play gay relationships, haha..

Then again, you couldn't romance and actually shag Sten... Sorry about that. lol

Change it to Alistair and this secret could be about me. I was definitely worried about how attached to him I became.

And then Anders went and did the same thing to me in DA2. Damn you, Bioware!

Happened to me too. Giddy teenager all the way when he gave me that damn rose... CURSE YOU ALISTAIR YOU PERFECT THING.

I had to do a second playthrough as the Cousland Warden just so I could get a happy ending (though I did know beforehand that if I made him King then my city elf was getting dumped).
