Perhaps an direction to come at it from, but you might suggest watching that very film with him.

(It reminds me of how my father once took me to Pride, despite my never coming out to him—and he now supports my relationship with my partner without question.)

My father is one of the weirdest kinds of homophobes.

He doesn't get angry or condemn them to hell or anything, he just expresses his disbelief that it is even possible.

Like...physically, or just at all? If the former, then I suppose there's little help for lack of imagination (except perhaps picture books or explanations). If the latter, I guess he just needs to be introduced to some gay people/couples.

...The irony of this situation is that I'm having difficulty conceptualizing his inability to conceptualize homosexuality. It's like a song from a children's book I loved when I was little about dragons choosing not to believe in a little boy who didn't believe in dragons.
