Heroes was my first real fandom. It got me online. It got me writing fic. It got me into other things, like Doctor Who and Lost and Death Note.
Sometimes when I make a Heroes reference I feel like crying because it was so good and so much fun and then it sucked but still we stuck with it and wrote all kinds of epic fix-it fic and I'd load the comics every week despite my awful dial-up connection making the process painfully slow ...
... I miss those friends I made, when I was a newbie to fandom. I miss the days of Heroes.
