As someone who's tried to contribute to the fandom in the form of non-Fakiru works, I think you're presenting a very idealized version of the situation. Mostly, I've written fanfiction, and it'll get maybe three or four comments if I'm lucky. It's not the best writing, but it has proper grammar and thought put into it. I wouldn't mind the lack of attention, even crit, so much if it wasn't for the fact that so much of the poorly written Fakiru fic gets twice as much love. Comes with the territory of fandom, I guess, but that doesn't make it less frustrating.

Just cutting in here--

I've been in the fandom for over 6 years now and following it everywhere. Fanfiction posts IN GENERAL for PT do not get a lot of feedback. And yes, that also goes for a lot of Fakiru fics, too. People generally comment more to things like art or discussion posts, from what I've seen.
