Mako's entire arsenal of interesting character actions basically equaled being a douche in relationships + Lightningbending.

If I had a dollar for every Mako stan that mentioned lightningbending when trying to explain his character depth...

I mean, the Lightningbending was awesome (about the only awesome thing about Mako) but character development??

I've seen a couple essays where they point out his ability to bend lightning and use it as proof that he is dedicated and hardworking and persistent in his endeavors. There was also this post at ontd-lok which pretty much rambles on and on and ends with Mako is awesome (and therefore shouldn't be criticized) because he can lightningbend LOOK AT MAH GIFS.

I skimmed that and just...wow

I can't with the part where they said Mako "tries to right what he does wrong"

the fact that he DOESN'T is pretty much 75% of what is wrong with his character

I mean come on
