up the thread i did so, such as the "bawwwwww how can he suddenly use lightning" when he had done so several times prior to the end. also the idea that he would be abusive to korra based on him assaulting an equalist when he thought they had kidnapped korra, amongst other shit.

I haven't heard either of those two arguments, but if they are prevalent, then ia.

But a lot of people dislike Mako for a lot of perfectly legitimate reasons. Liking him just to spite his haters...what does that accomplish? Maybe you should step back and examine the character, rather than basing your opinion of him on his fanbase.

i have re-examined the character after seeing all the hate roll in. i walked away liking and appreciating the character far more than i did on first watch. the comments were just that ridiculous (and, ftr, most of the stuff i'm talking about i saw on tumblr and elsewhere, not here).
