My opinion is that television is not any better or worse than when I was a kid. There are good shows on for kids that are genuinely entertaining, just like there were when I was a kid. But just like there is dreck on TV now, there was dreck on TV then, and I'm tired of people my age looking at the whole era through nostalgia goggles. There were lame shows on then too. The nineties were not a magical time of only good music and TV.

It's just incredibly frustrating.

yeah but try to remember the last decade through nostalgia goggles. it doesn't work because mostly everything sucked. sure the 90s had some shit, but on the whole it had a larger ratio of cool stuff.
