[i]And you know, I've heard people comment 'if you want more of [pairing], write it yourself!' and it bugs the crap out of me - even when I am, I want to enjoy other people's work, not my own over and over, and as much as people say that it'll encourage others, I haven't found it doing that. *sigh* Fandom...[/i]

This. I find it one of the worst arguments ever. It's not the same to read your own writing than someone elses. There's no surprises or anything.
Also, some people just aren't writers. English isn't my native language and my narrative english kind of sucks. My voculabry lacks and I just don't feel comfortable. I'm more of an artist so I stick to the fanart but I would love to read some fics too and whenever someone says "write it yourself", it just bugs me.
