Besides a few spotty issues that clearly reflect the time period of publication, These are some really entertaining comics. I'm not close to finishing them.

Yay! Finally a Tintin secret that wasn't made by an asshole!

I feel the same way, but the fandom is so full of Haddock/Tintin slash now that I've gotten over it (I still don't ship it at all but it doesn't freak me out as much as it did the first time I saw it, I guess I'm just numb to it now?)

Oh boy.

I rented Tintin because 1. It looked cute. 2. Peter Jackson & Steven Spielberg. Then I watched it about three times in three days. Then bought the Blu-Ray and Tintin and Snowy Beanie Babies.

IDK, it was just so adorable and lighthearted fun. So I sympathize OP; there's something addictive about it.

Movie!Tintin shouldn't be so cute, it makes me feel like a perv.

Have you seen the 1960s Tintin movie? ;)

I haven't, but I have heard of it though! And seen the shirtless image of that Tintin floating around. Not bad...not bad at all. Maybe I should try to find it...

I love these comics so much. Like seriously, the only issues I have with them are the occasionally-cringeworthy dated-ness of some of the ideas and stereotypes. SO MUCH LOVE.

Tintin was a big part of my childhood so I really liked the movie of course, but I really love that a lot of people who had never even heard of the comic before are getting into it now because of it :D

THIS! :D

I owned ALL the comics (and read some of them until they fell apart, oops) and I loved the movie and well... I'm just so happy the movie made more people discover Tintin. ♥

I first read the comics, oh god, like, in the 1980s? And loooved them. :D
